Rules of Articles in Spanish There are mainly 9 rules associated with the use of articles in Spanish  The pictures below describe each rule with its examples and exceptions. Rule 1 - Noun ending with "o" is masculine Rule 2 - Noun ending with 'a' is feminine Rule 3- Noun ending with 'ma' is masculine Rule 4- Noun ending with sion, cion, tad, dad, tud, umbre are feminine Rule 5- Noun ending with 'or' are masculine Rule 6- Noun ending with ' age' is masculine Rule 7- Some words are always plural Rule 8- Some words are always plural even when they are singular Rule 9- While changing from singular to plural 'z' changes to 'c'

                                      Articles - Los Articulos In English there are articles like a, an, the, some but in Spanish it is totally different In Spanish there are mainly 2 types of articles- definite and in definite articles In Spanish we call them as Articulo Definido and Articulo Indefinido There are some rules to be used with articles which will be posted in next post, link will be given. 1. Articulos Definido - Definite Articles : These contain El, La, Los and Las El and Los are for masculine items while La and Las are feminine Los and Las are form plural form These are used with respect to the gender and quantity of object  The below picture has these with examples. 2.
