La Hora – Time In Spanish | Part 1 In this post I am going to talk about how we ask or tell the time in Spanish. I will also tell how we use time in daily sentences and its application. In this post I will tell how to ask and tell time, and how to say the current time in Spanish. In part 2 i.e. next post, I will tell how to ask and answer questions based on time and how to apply it in sentences and how to tell whether its PM or AM. Let’s start In Spanish time is expressed using the verbs Ser or Tener Ttime in Spanish is always feminine. We use ‘y’ for and, ‘media’ for half and ‘menos’ for less For quarter , we use ” cuarto “. To ask time, we say ¿Que hora es? or ¿Que hora tienes? To answer for example, 1o’ clock we say – Es la una en punto. Many examples of this are given in the pictures below.
